In Which I Make Yet Another Plan

Did you notice my list on the left?! It's not in it's own post so that I'll remember to actually DO it! I got the idea from Zoot and took a few of the ideas from her list and others I read. Most of them I thought up on my own. Here is what it is....

The Mission:Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Start Date: March 5th, 2007
End Date: December 1st, 2010

1001 days
143 weeks
33 months

Anyone who wants to join me (with or without blogging about it), I'd love to see your lists! I'll be blogging about each task after it's finished.

wow, Del, that is a huge list! I will be so impressed if you can accomplish even half......but knowing you, I bet you can. I will be happy to teach you the VERY basics of knitting--one of my goals is to learn how to do some thing besides just go straight (scarves, dishclothes) and I can give you alot of my alcholhol--it has started making me a little sick--SO unfair.......I will re-read this list and see what else I can do to further your dreams......Mom
