speaking of Sarah Michelle Gellar.......
All is good....
I finally :-) talked to Jason, and he has found himself a girl! He's doing much better over there, and I guess has decided to stay......he's promised to come visit though.
We are going to the circus on Sunday! well, Kaia and I are. Mike is way busy with finals. I can't wait until the end of next week! Neither can he, of course.
so we are going with John, Katia, Liam, Rene, Henry (Andrea's mom and step dad), and Amy's (Andrea's sister) three kids, who are staying with Rene and Henry. Quite the crowd! Dana mentioned her family was going on Saturday, and I thought it would be a lot of fun. I really don't want to drive to Spokane myself though, so mentioned it to Mike. He was definite about his inability to go, so I talked to John. Then he got Rene into it too! I told Kaia about it, before realizing she's never been to a circus. Today I remembered she has gone to a Cirque du Soleil show, but I don't think she remembers it. I told her we'd see elephants, and she wanted to ride one. She feels it's extremely unfair she doesn't get to. At some point I must have mentioned my dislike of clowns around her, because when I mentioned those, she said "I don't know if they will look very good." I told her we could watch other things, which is fine by me! Clowns are creepy and evil. I love trapeze artists...and....hmmm....it's been awhile since I'VE been to a circus! ooo....cotton candy! popcorn! I need to remember my camera most certainly.
That will leave Saturday for two main goals. Put my damn laundry AWAY and transplant my tomatoes. Secondary goals are plant more plants and clean more. I will be happy if I get the first two done. Ecstatic, in fact.
Mike and I have been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. We have to take a break while he finished this semester, but we've been enjoying it. I don't really like Sarah Michelle Gellar, but I don't let that bother me. I love the series. They just introduced Seth Green, though we don't know he's a werewolf yet. I love Seth Green. Good thing I'll never actually meet him, because he's apparently very short, which would ruin his sexiness for me. Spike has also recently entered the scene, and I have a bit of a crush on him too....though I'm slightly embarrassed to say so..... Angel just bothers me, not sure why. I don't find him cute, and his whole "poor me I'm a vampire with a soul" bit is just annoying.
Baby is doing fine, I'm finally showing a bit! At work it doesn't show since I wear a loose polo shirt, but on the weekends I can start showing it off now that's it's warming up.
I'm finally caught up on all my bills! I was behind from when I missed work in February, but it's all taken care of now! Feels so much better! One of the coolest parts was that the bank that I have my car loan through actually let me skip a month to catch up since my payment history had been so good before this time. Yay me! Now just need to get the MasterCard to zero and we will be rockin'! Not much more to go on that either.....then Mike and I plan to leave it open but at zero, and we have one other credit card we use for groceries and such, but keep the balance low. our credit is getting better and better!
okay, that post was longer than I had anticipated. Adios for now! Smile, the SUN IS OUT!!

Blech. BLECH, I say.
This morning, Kaia forgot that she had planned to wear her cowgirl hat until it was too late. She sulked all the way to preschool, then sobbed hysterically when it was time for me to go. Her teacher had to bodily carry her into the classroom, with her screaming all the way. ( I called later, and she calmed down quickly, but still, it's hard on everyone)
Then when I got to work, I discovered that the non-lethal mouse trap had done it's job. The mouse that has been terrorizing Casey is trapped. However, now it shall starve to death, simply for being in the wrong place. I hate how the world works sometimes.
Then of course none of my customers can be HAPPY ones...well, one was, but she didn't buy anything she was just getting info.
My tomato plants didn't get transplanted, my seeds didn't get started. My laundry got mostly done, but it is sitting in a pile in my closet, wrinkling as we speak!
and I am still nauseous.
On a brighter note, I have a Reese's peanut butter cup.

TGIF? oh...wait...
I was really looking forward to having the next two days off, even though yes, I know, I just had a 10 day vacation. Now I am working tomorrow, hopefully only a half day, but possibly all day. And I really do need the hours.
I was planning on getting quite a bit done. I can still get some done on Sunday, but not as much. I have oodles of laundry to do AND PUT AWAY DAMN IT, I WILL!!! and I need to transplant my tomatoes and start some more seeds. I also need to get some plastic mesh stuff to make a trellis with..... though I think I will check out what Andrea might have at her place.
In baby news, everything is going well. I have a bump...but not much of one yet. I have an appt to get blood drawn next week for the scary birth defects. And in a few weeks, I will know if it's a boy or a girl! too cool!! Then I can concentrate on sorting clothes and Mike and I can work harder on a name.
okay, this is obviously NOT going to be a very entertaining post, so I will get back to work and my cream soda.

A good time was had
The trip was wonderful. We had a wonderful time, and it was really relaxing for all of us, though Mike's time was much shorter than mine and Kaia's.
The beginning of it wasn't full of any special news. Mom let me sleep in every (!) morning, which was awesome. I had my hair consultation on Tuesday, and Reiki on Thursday. Mom had actually practiced on me earlier in the week, and got rid of one of my really nasty headaches! Yay mom!!! Kaia and I spent some time with Tania on Wednesday, and Kathy and Bree on Thursday.
Friday was the wedding! Katie looked GORGEOUS!!!! I felt pretty cute in my own dress and newly straightened hair, and Kaia looked adorable in her floor length white dress and pink glitter shoes. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and the reception was a lot of fun. I wish I had gotten more time to talk to some people, such as Carol, but ah well. I did get some time with most people I wanted to. Couldn't drink any of the wine :-( but mom has saved me one of the left over bottles. Katie and James left Sunday for their honeymoon in Hawaii, and I so hope that went splendidly.
Mom said something funny at the reception, and I have to pass it on...(sorry mom!).
Billy Idol singing "White Wedding" started playing, and I was singing along and bobbing about, when mom asked who was singing. I told her, and she said ......ready??
"oh. I've never heard this song.....but then, I never listen to modern music."
hee hee.....still makes me giggle.
Saturday night we spent with Mike and Kathy, and Sunday (Bree is so freaking adorable!!!), after a yummy German pancake at Elmer's, we headed back up to mom's house.
Tuesday we drove up to Bellevue for the interview at the school we want Kaia to go to. It set Mike's mind at ease, and now he's really excited about it too. It's a Waldorf school...if you are interested, do a search and read about it. Very cool stuff. Keep your fingers crossed that we get in! (and that Mike gets a job over there!)
Tuesday we came home, and Kaia had a really hard time getting to sleep. She missed her Granny! She claimed she never ("never ever!") wanted to go to school again, she just wanted to be with her Granny, but this morning she was excited to show her new rocks to her friends.

Casey keeps calling. There is no electricity over in the mall store. This sucks. AND the Internet guy is there to hook it up....
****************************************************
So now I am back at work. Have already had a customer whose phone was turned off despite promises it would not be, and one who has a deposit. He said he could pay by check, which we can't do, so he said he'd run to the bank. He has not been back, big surprise.
My tomatoes are doing wonderfully! I need to transplant them into their forever home. They are making my bedroom smell like tomatoes, which I love, but Mike is skeptical about. All my new plants died, ran out of water....apparently I wasn't clear about the method of watering they required. ah well, no big deal to start them again. I have plenty of seeds. This weekend will be full of catching up on gardening stuff! Hopefully we can visit Andrea too....
Suggestion--should you ever find yourself in Vancouver, Washington, go to Sunrise Bagels on east Mill Plain. Try the Italian Eggel. (It's tasty on a cheese bagel, warmed...) You can thank me later. Preferably with Sunrise Bagel Gift Cards!
okay, enough wasting work hours. (love you John! and CALL CASEY!!)

sex and cocoa flavored peeps*
so every since I found out I was pregnant, I have been on "cervical rest". This means, as I'm sure you can deduce, NO SEX. of any kind. even orgasms are out, since they cause uterine contractions. At first, this was a minor annoyance. I mean, I like sex, really a lot. But with being nauseous and throwing up and all, it wasn't high on my list of things I yearned for.
Lately, though I've still been feeling not totally well in the tummy, things are changing.
THREE MONTHS PEOPLE. I am MARRIED. I am supposed to be able to get sex whenever I WANT IT. AND I WANT IT. and I can't have it.....and there's no telling when I'll be able to have it again. I am not happy about this. and neither, LET ME TELL YOU, is my husband. Though he has been an ANGEL about it, not being at all grumpy about it, though in discussions he has made it clear he misses it too. at least HE gets to ...umm...take care of his needs....in other ways. ok. end of bitching about no sex.
for now.
cocoa flavored peeps are YUMMY. I confess, I like peeps. I usually eat too many, and get sick. I also like that they have them at all holidays! I don't care for the strawberry or orange flavored ones, so have stuck with the original, until this morning! I found COCOA ones! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........
AND, they have made Cadbury ORANGE cream eggs, which are also quite tasty.
I really need to watch my sugar intake better....

adorable little button nose....don't you agree?

here's a picture of the ultrasound I had yesterday. Baby was alive and flippin' all around! I don't get official results until today, but everything looked good to me. 'course that doesn't mean much......
So if you aren't proficient at deciphering these things, the round bit on the right is the head, in profile. The legs are on the left, folded up. The measurements this time puts me about a week further along than previously thought, though they will be able to get a more accurate reading around 20 weeks. So right now I am either 12.5 weeks along, or 13.5.
Starting to feel a slight bit better, though I've thrown up a few times in the last couple of days. Still REALLY tired....but getting a lot of sleep. Mike has been AWESOME in keeping the house clean and Kaia entertained and happy.
Going to Vancouver this Saturday, and my sister's wedding is in a little over a week! Too, too cool.
